Reward for Comenius project Come Here - Compare
Hufeland Schule was decorated as model of engagement with the European idea.
From the 5th – 9th May the “European Week” was celebrated in Berlin. In many meetings and events politicians informed about European Policy, showed ways to mutual understanding and discussed with students their place in the European House and which problems and chances they see.
On Tuesday the 6th May representatives of a number of Berlin schools met in the rooms of the Berlin parliament. The reason was a ceremony under the title “Berlin Schools for Europe 2008”. The Berlin Senator for Education, Mr. Zöllner (1st right), decorated a number of schools for their commitment and their engagement for the European idea. Some schools showed as an example their work and explained how their project came into existence and how it worked.
Amongst the awarded schools was the Productive Learning of Hufeland School in Berlin Buch for their Comenius project “Come here – Compare” which they are doing together with Bernadottegymnasiet, Stockholm, Sweden and the secondary school Eugeni d'Ors from Vilafranca del Penedès, Spain. The Headmistress of Hufeland School, Ms Hildenbrand (3rd right) and the coordinator of Productive Learning, Mr Jahn (2nd right) attended the meeting and received appreciation and a certificate.
